Contrary to what the name might suggest, Berghaus was founded by two British mountaineers in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the mid sixties. Famous for their waterproof jackets and insulated layers, Berghaus also gained notoriety in the late eighties and early nineties for being used by British youth on more sub-cultural excursions.
