Introducing the KA_YO_PROTOTYPE 66°NORTH ‘FIELD EXPEDITION’ crafted from leftover Polartec® Neoshell fabrics sourced from 66°North’s own factories, and available in two unique colourways. Shot in Iceland, brings to life the essence of Suðureyri, a small fishing village steeped in 66° North’s history. We explore the lives of local fishermen and their enduring bond with the sea, celebrating their traditions, resilience, and the legacy they pass on to future generations.
This project honors the village and Iceland’s unique way of life, shaped by the rugged natural elements that define it. Shot on 16mm Film. Blending 90s-inspired heritage design with a strong commitment to sustainability, ensuring zero material waste. With fabric that provides exceptional wind and water protection while maintaining breathability, making it perfect for both outdoor adventures and urban life. The colours take inspiration from 66°North’s Icelandic heritage, with bold shades drawn from the Northern Lights, while the vibrant orange pays homage to fisherman coats used for visibility since 1926. The result is a perfect blend of colour, function, and a visual nod to the fishing town of Suðureyri.
